Allan Sharrock feels he is a step closer to ticking off a career goal.
"This could be my chance to win a Group One in Australia," the Taranaki trainer said following Kawi's encouraging run for sixth in Saturday's Gr.1 Railway Stakes at Ascot.
"I thought his run was terrific, I couldn't be any happier. He pulled up well, it was like a track gallop for him – he never got clear in the straight and a blind man could see it was one of the runs of the race."
Kawi will make his next appearance in the Gr.1 Kingston Town Classic on December 3.
