Former Singapore galloper Sebrose is close to making his New Zealand debut.
The six-year-old won five of his 22 starts in Singapore for Mark Walker before joining the Matamata stable of Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards.
"He's coming up nicely and he trialled well at Cambridge recently," Autridge said. "We're looking for a nice 1400 or 1600 metre race in the next fortnight for him."
The Gr.1 Barfoot & Thomson Auckland Cup is the major target for Sebrose, who has won up to 2200 metres.
