Michael and Matthew Pitman have tentative plans to campaign a team in the North Island later this season and possibly across the Tasman.
The Tavistock five-year-old Night Nurse is in the running for a place in the travelling party and she further pressed her claims at Riccarton on Wednesday with a strong performance to win the Farmers Mill Premier.
"She's a lovely mare and she could be part of a team we may have in the North Island and maybe Australia in the autumn," Michael Pitman said.
Night Nurse settled off the pace in a small field and she came with a well-timed run in the hands of Chris Johnson, whose pre-race thoughts proved on the money.
"I spoke to Chris before the race and he was very informative. He said he would get cover down the back into the head wind and then present her at the right time," Pitman said.
She is raced by Ray and Jill Coupland, whose colours were later carried to victory in the Amicus Insurance Brokers Premier by Night Nurse's stablemate Another Coup.
