Crozier cashes in on home turf

Riccarton trainer Danny Crozier has continued his good run of form on his local course.

The former top jumps jockey saddled In Danger to claim the opening event, the Perfect Packaging Premier Maiden, on Wednesday to follow the winning lead of stablemate Suzerain, who took out the closing event on Saturday.

"To do it on my home track during cup week is a buzz," Crozier said. "He should probably have won a race before now, but it's a blessing in disguise he didn't with this one worth $30,000."

In Danger finished off strongly to down the northern visitor Petite Midas, who looked set for victory when she kicked clear 200 metres from home.
