Cambridge trainer Shelley Hale is hoping for a case of first time lucky at Riccarton on Wednesday.
Her first runner on the course will be Seventh Up, an in-form contender for the Gr.2 Coupland's Bakeries Mile.
Hale is also the co-breeder and part-owner of the Shinko King gelding who has won five of his 11 starts, including his latest appearance at Tauranga. He will be ridden by Mark Du Plessis.
