Who Shot Thebarman will defend his Gr.2 Zipping Classic title at Sandown on Saturday.
The New Zealand-bred and owned stayer won the race 12 months ago after running 11th behind Prince Of Penzance in the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup.
Who Shot Thebarman finished a meritorious fifth in the Flemington feature behind Almandin last week and he came through the race in top order.
"From his barrier in the Cup and from where he was on the turn, he was super," trainer Chris Waller said.
