Linda Meech
Former Wanganui apprentice Linda Meech has joined Michelle Payne as a Group One-winning jockey to take out a trainer's licences in Victoria.
Meech, who won last year's Coolmore Classic on Plucky Belle, is one of four women to be granted dual licences which were introduced in the state this season.
She began her career with Kevin Myers and has subsequently become well established in the Victorian riding ranks and she enjoyed a close association with the former champion trainer Peter Moody.
