Volkstok'n'barrell is in prime condition in the countdown to his return to racing.
The multiple Group One winner is likely to resume in the Gr.2 Preston Rowe Patterson, Property Brokers Tauranga Stakes on November 12, but his path there has yet to be confirmed.
"It's hard to place a weight-for-age horse like him so we might have to give him another trial before Tauranga," said Donna Logan, who trains the son of Tavistock with Chris Gibbs. "He'd be getting far too much weight in handicaps here."
Volkstok'n'barrell hasn't raced since he placed in two of his four appearances during the Queensland winter carnival and he showed he had come back well with a lively trial win on his home track at Ruakaka earlier this month.
