In-form New Zealand filly Eleonora is unlikely to have another outing before the Gr.1 VRC Oaks.
"She doesn't need a lot of racing and the Wakeful is just five days before the Oaks," co-trainer Murray Baker said. "Flemington can get pretty firm and I wouldn't want to risk jarring her up."
Eleonora pressed her classic claims with a convincing last-start win in the Gr.3 Ethereal Stakes at Caulfield where stablemate Highlad had no luck when caught wide when unplaced in the Gr.3 Ladbrooks Classic.
Meanwhile, La Luna Rossa will make her next Australian appearance in the Gr.2 P.W. Glass Fillies' Classic at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
