Injury has forced the retirement in Hong Kong of the high-class New Zealand-bred Victory Magic.
The five-year-old son of Savabeel tore a left front tendon during a track gallop at the weekend.
"He has been retired and it's a real pity, he was a talented horse that I felt was still on the way up - his best racing was ahead of him," trainer John Moore said.
Victory Magic hadn't raced since he finished runner-up in the Gr.1 Champions & Chater Cup and he was also second in last season's Gr.1 Hong Kong Derby.
