Graham Richardson is now looking to Tauranga at the end of the month to belatedly open Volpe Veloce's three-year-old career.
"She'll probably go there on the 29th, there's a $7000 race for her but it's not about the money, it's about getting her a run," the Matamata trainer said.
Volpe Veloce won both her starts last term, including the Listed Castletown Stakes, but this season has been one of frustration.
