Stakes-winning mare Summer's Day won't be heading south for next month's Gr.2 Coupland's Bakeries Mile.

"She's been sold and been served by Per Incanto so Riccarton is probably going to come up a bit too soon for her," said trainer Tony Pike, who shared in the ownership of the Darci Brahma mare along with his parents Wayne and Vicki.

The winner of six races including the Listed Tauranga Classic, Summer's Day has been purchased by James Chapman's South Auckland-based operation Jamieson Park.
