Promising four-year-old Zambezi Warrior is likely to stay closer to home to make his next appearance.
An impressive first-up winner at Pukekohe last month, the son of Pentire missed a scheduled run in the abandoned Listed Matamata Cup on Saturday.
"There is a race for him at Otaki this weekend, but we'll probably wait for Auckland on Saturday week," co-trainer Jamie Richards said. "He's flying at the moment and he really looks a cups horse in the making."
