The Kranji Mile has delivered a dream result for Windsor Park Stud.
Two graduates of the Cambridge nursery quinellaed Sunday evening's Singapore Group One event with Debt Collector beating Well Done.
A son of the ill-fated Thorn Park, Debt Collector was bought out of Windsor Park's Select Sale draft to Karaka in 2014 by Cambridge agent Michael Wallace for $30,000. He was subsequently sold to Singapore trainer Cliff Brown by Prima Park at the Ready to Run Sale for $120,000.
Debt Collector has now won six of his nine starts, including last season's Singapore Guineas, while Well Done has won seven times and two runs back he claimed the Patron's Bowl. The son of Falkirk was bought out of Windsor Park's 2013 Ready to Run Sale consignment for $90,000.
"He's just a remarkable horse who just knows where the post is," winning trainer Brown said. "It's onwards to the Raffles Cup now, but he won't be going for the Gold Cup. Then he will go for a break and we will set him for the Derby next year."
