Blake Shinn has been booked to ride Gallante in the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup.
The Sydney-based jockey will be chasing a second success in the Flemington feature having partnered the Bart Cummings-trained Viewed to victory in 2008.
Owned by Lloyd Williams, Gallante was a last-start runner-up behind Jameka when resuming in the Gr.3 Naturalism Stakes at Caulfield.
