Kerrin McEvoy will be reunited with the New Zealand mare Lucia Valentina in the Gr.1 Cox Plate.
Trainer Kris Lees has booked him for the ride after Damien Oliver opted to ride the French horse Vadamos in the Moonee Valley feature.
"Kerrin knows Lucia Valentina well, having won a Tramway Stakes and Turnbull Stakes on her and also finished third in the Caulfield Cup two years ago," Lees said. "We're delighted to have him ride her again."
