David and Emma-Lee Browne will be all the wiser after Sunday.
The Cambridge trainers are looking forward to Blizzard's Australian debut in the Listed Cranbourne Cup, after which they will decide the stayer's future programme.
"We decided to give him his chance over here and he arrived late on Wednesday night," Emma-Lee Browne said.
"We'll see how he settles in over the next couple of days and after Sunday we can make a plan for him."
Blizzard has had an interrupted domestic preparation after he took ill following his unplaced effort when resuming on the opening day of the Hawke's Bay carnival.
"It turned out he had a virus and that's why he was disappointing," Browne said. "His last run showed he was feeling a lot better."
Blizzard, who was placed in the Gr.2 Championship Stakes at three, finished runner-up in the Listed Karaka Classic at Pukekohe to earn his passage across the Tasman.
He is being stabled at Cranbourne with Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, who are now preparing Blizzard's former stablemate Nigelissima, the winner of three races including the Listed Championship Stakes Prelude.
The stakes winning daughter of Pentire has failed to fire in three runs in Victoria and she will get a chance to turn her form around on Friday at Cranbourne where Michael Dee has been booked for the ride. – NZ Racing Desk.
