Seize The Moment will open a new campaign at Te Rapa on Friday with another trip south on the programme of one of the country's most genuine performers.
The winner of six races, he also has four black type placings to his credit including two at Riccarton where he ran second last season in the Listed Easter Cup and third in the Listed Great Easter Stakes.
"He's such a consistent horse, I wish I had a whole lot more like him in the stable," trainer Stephen Marsh said.
Seize The Moment hasn't raced since early May and he stretched his legs at the trials last week ahead of his resuming run in the NRM 1400 at Te Rapa on Friday.
"The track was far too wet for him at Avondale, but the trip there and a run around has brought him on so he's ready to go again," Marsh said.
"He'll go back to Te Rapa for a mile at his second start back and he would probably need to win that to go down to Christchurch," Marsh said.
Seize The Moment holds a nomination for the Gr.2 Coupland's Bakeries Mile at Riccarton on November 9. The stable has also entered Thee Auld Floozie, Ruud Not Too and recent addition Tahni Dancer for the event.
"Ruud Not Too had a jump-out at Cambridge on Friday and she's coming up really well and Tahni Dancer got a long way back in her first run for us at Taupo," Marsh said.
"She'll go to Hawke's Bay on Saturday and if she runs well over 1400 metres we'll look at getting her down to Riccarton."
Raced by Rosemont Stud, Tahni Dancer was a maiden winner at Cranbourne for Caulfield trainer Clinton McDonald. She also placed at Group Two and Three level in Melbourne and she was fifth in the Gr.1 Thousand Guineas. – NZ Racing Desk.
