The weather is worrying co-trainer Donna Logan more than Hasselhoof's condition ahead of the Gr.1 Livamol Classic at Hastings on Saturday.
"His work this morning was very good and he's close to the mark fitness-wise, but we don't want any rain," she said.
Hasselhoof missed a planned lead-up run in the Listed Karaka Classic due to a wet track at Pukekohe and he worked between races at Ellerslie last Saturday.
"He hated the ground there as well, but the trip down there didn't do him any harm," Logan said.
