Unbeaten mare Francaletta is likely to be back in action on the third day of the Hawke's Bay spring carnival.
The daughter of High Chaparral followed up her Matamata debut win with success in a special conditions event at Hastings last Saturday.
"She's a lovely mare who we've had to be very patient with," co-trainer Andrew Forsman said. "She's still learning and as she gets up in class I think a mile to a middle distance will be her go.
"It's a matter of trying to win a few more races with her so we can get her rating up to qualify for some black-type races in the future."
