Sacred Master's first success in Australia has earned him a half-kilogram penalty for the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup.
The Chris Waller-trained stayer, who landed last Friday's Gr.3 Newcastle Cup, has been re-handicapped to 51kg but he was not penalised for the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup in which he also has 51kg.
Sacred Master won six races and was placed in the Gr.1 Auckland Cup from Tony Pike's Cambridge stable before he transferred to Waller.
