Jasmine Fawcett, who is apprenticed to Matamata trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards, has opened her winning account.
She was successful aboard stable runner and stakes performer Zambezi Warrior at Sunday's Counties meeting.
"Jasmine (Fawcett) does a lot of hard work behind the scenes and is a pretty important part of our team," Richards said. "She rides a lot of work and she is really starting to improve."
Runner-up in last season's Gr.2 Championship Stakes, Zambezi Warrior was making his first appearance as a four-year-old and he has now won three of his nine starts.
