The Paul Makin owned and bred Sky Kingdom (3 c ex We Can Say It Now by Starcraft) took out the Prix du Prince d'Orange (Gr.3 over 2000m) at Maisons- Laffitte yesterday, providing the late Montjeu (Sadler's Wells) with his 122nd stakes winner. The William Haggas-trained colt came home strongly from off the pace to beat the favourite Mekhtaal (Sea The Stars) by a short-neck, with a further three lengths back to Spectroscope (Medaglia d'Oro) in third. Montjeu died in March 2012. Sky Kingdom is out of the dual New Zealand Group One winner We Can Say It Now who is a granddaughter of Group Two winner Courtalista (Pompeii Court).
