Saturday's meeting at Caulfield unveiled another fillies classic contender with Harlow Gold winning the $80,000 Ladbrokes supports National Jockey Trust Plate (1600m) for three-year-olds.
Trained by David and Ben Hayes, as well as Tom Dabernig, Harlow Gold defeated male opposition with the daughter of Tavistock settling midfield and bursting through the middle of the pack in the straight to win by an ever-widening 1.75 lengths.
Mick Price's Rocketeer was held up early in the straight but closed nicely for second while Kachingsettled last, came widest in the straight and finished third.
Although fifth, there was plenty of merit to the run of VRC Derby aspirant Odeon, who raced three-wide without cover up on the pace before understandably wilting on his run over the final 200m.
Harlow Gold firmed from $11 to $8 to win the Thousand Guineas. Her win comes after Lee and Anthony Freedman produced Exocet to win a three-year-old fillies race over 1400m.
