Saracino's next appearance will finalise the three-year-old's immediate future.
The son of Per Incanto, who made a successful Australian debut in Saturday's Gr.2 Danehill Stakes, has the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas on his programme, but co-trainer Murray Baker has yet to be convinced of the colt's ability to stay 1600 metres.
"You'd like to think he could make the Caulfield Guineas," Baker said. "Who knows, he might not be a miler, more a sprinter."
Saracino's performance in the Guineas Prelude over 1400 metres on September 24 will provide Baker with a more serious guide.
