Jacob Lowry will be missing from the southern riding ranks for a few weeks.
The 18-year-old copped a two day suspension at Ashburton recently when he couldn't make the weight for his rides and he has decided to take a short break to address his issues.
Lowry has posted 54 winners, including four at black type level, since beginning his riding career in the 2013-14 season.
