Inglewood Stud has confirmed the sale of their unbeaten four-year-old Oh Romeo.
"There were 15 different guys who made inquiries, they went a bit crazy over him," part-owner Gus Wigley said. "He's gone to Hong Kong to a good client of Bruce Sherwin, who made an offer after his last race.
"It's a bit sad that he won't be racing down here, but we are running a commercial operation and we can now invest in more broodmares."
Interest in the son of Foreplay, who was trained by Wigley's father Nick, went to another level after he had blitzed his Ashburton rivals by nine lengths last month following a runaway debut win in July.
