New Zealand-bred stayer Tavago will step up in trip next time out.
The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained son of Tavistock will run over 2000 metres in either the Gr.3 Naturalism Stakes at Caulfield on September 17 or in the Gr.1 Turnbull Stakes at Flemington a fortnight later.
The Gr.1 Australian Derby winner finished well back when recently resuming in the Gr.2 Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes at Moonee Valley.
"There is always a query with three-year-old form to four-year-old form, as there is every year, and the run probably hasn't answered any questions so next time will tell the story," Busuttin said.
