Western Australia has seriously caught the attention of Allan Sharrock as he looks to his future offshore options with Kawi.

"I haven't ruled out the Mackinnon Stakes in Melbourne yet, but I'm seriously looking at our options in Perth," the New Plymouth trainer said.

"I've been in touch with them and they are very keen to have Kawi over there for two races.

"The first one is a handicap worth $A1 million, the one He's Remarkable won and then lost in an inquiry, over a mile and two weeks later there's a weight-for-age race over 1800 metres worth another $A1 million."

The Gr.1 Railway Stakes will be run over 1600 metres on November 19 with the Gr.1 Kingston Town Classic, also at Ascot, on December 3.

"Nothing is confirmed at this stage, we'll wait until after the Windsor Park Plate," Sharrock said.

Kawi claimed his fourth Group One crown when he retained his Makfi Challenge Stakes title in outstanding fashion on his seasonal debut at Hastings last month.

The six-year-old, who has won 12 of his 25 starts and more than $820,000, raced three wide with cover from an outside gate before he asserted his superiority in the run home for a comfortable victory.

"He's flying and he's improved out of sight since then," Sharrock said. "You'll see a different horse at his next start."

That will be on Saturday week when Kawi takes aim at the Gr.1 Windsor Park Plate, the middle leg of the Triple Crown series at Hawke's Bay. – NZ Racing Desk.
