Well-related four-year-old Gobstopper will kick off his spring campaign at Awapuni on Saturday.
"He's a nice staying horse with a pedigree, but he's well and he could go a cheeky fresh-up race over 1400 metres," Opaki trainer Andrew Campbell said.
Gobstopper, who had an outing at last month's Foxton trials is a younger brother to Werther, who was a Group Two winner and Group One performer for Campbell before joining John Moore's Hong Kong stable.
He has since won the Gr.1 Hong Kong Derby and the Gr.1 Audemars Piguet QEII Cup.
