This is what the jockeys thought of the performance of their ride in The Meadow Fresh Great Northern Steeplechase:
1st Kick Back Jockey Shaun Fannin
It was an unreal finish. I dropped my whip and she was still too good for them - it was fantastic.
2nd Amanood Lad Jockey Steve Pateman
He was awesome today - so brave. Its been a great training performance to get him back to form. Hopefully they will push on and try again next year.
3rd Zed Case Jockey Aaron Kuru
He was the maiden chaser in the race and he certainly jumped better than that, it looks promising for him next year.
4th Upper Cut Jockey Martin Kelly
He has run a great race, he did everything right. We were just a little unlucky to come across those three on the day.
5th Stagehand Jockey Richard Cully
He ran a really well for a young chaser - its promising for the future.
6th Old Redfeather Jockey Will Gordon
He has run a cracker. He defied his odds and stayed the trip. It was a good run.
7th Gargamel Jockey Alan Browne
He got a bit close to the water jump which knocked his confidence a little. After that though he picked himself up and ran okay. For a 10 year old, he is only lightly raced so next year I feel he will be better.
8th Crash Bandicoot Jockey Mathew Gillies
He just has too much brilliance for such a long race. He is better suited to 4000m. The McGregor Grant next year will be right up his alley.
9th Big Brownie Jockey Gary Walsh
He just traveled too well the whole way, especially for a 13yo. He started to hang a little on top of the hill the last time as well.
Last High Forty Jockey Michael Mitchell
He just hit the water jump on the first round and we were forever chasing them from there.
Pulled Up Eric The Viking Jockey Brad McLean
He just couldn't keep going today.
Fell Mr Mor Jockey Mathew Cropp
We were nice and relaxed out the back, I was going to make a move after the double and unfortunately he just didn't put his landing gear down.
Fell Snowdroptwinkletoes Jockey Charlie Studd
He jumped indifferently. He was coming into it nicely but again put another bad one in and came unstuck.
Fell Wise Men Say Jockey Isaac Lupton
Unfortunately he just hit the horse in front of him and came down.
