What the jockeys said...Schweppes Great Northern Hurdle

This is what the jockeys thought of the performance of their ride in The Schweppes Great northern Hurdle

1st D'Llaro Jockey Brad McLean
He was good, nice and brave from the front. He jumped so quick that I was pretty confident in the run. I didn't think they would beat me.

2nd Raisafuasho Jockey Michael Mitchell
It was a good run. We bumped into the riderless horse at the 1000m which knocked our momentum a bit but he ran home strong.

3rd Ngatira Gold Jockey Richard Cully
It was a great run. He's been flying all prep. He gave it everything and ran a cracker.

4th Thenamesbond Jockey Will Gordon
He's run another good race. We just got taken on early which didn't suit him. He still run a good race.

5th Just Got Home Jockey Steve Pateman
He's a genuine horse but with the 69kg it was hard.

6th Nancho Lass Jockey Charlie Studd
She relaxed well and traveled into it. Its probably a shade too far for her - she just got tired late.

7th Mahanadi Jockey Shaun Fannin
He was a little bit disappointing. They went a little bit fast for him. A little more rain would've helped.

8th Shamal Jockey Mathew Gillies
He was travelling into it and misjudged a fence near the 1000m, after that he just wasn't there.

9th Istimagic Jockey Alan Browne
First time at the trip, next year he will improve.

Last Regalo Reaal Jockey Martin Kelly
He jumped well early. When they quickened down the back I just got left a little flat footed - he just needs it a little softer.

Lost Rider Hunters Creek Jockey Gary Walsh
No Comment

Pulled up Wee Biskit Jockey Mathew Cropp
It was too hard for her. She couldn't keep up with that pace. She will live to fight another day.

Pulled Up Kipkeino Jockey Aaron Kuru
He'll be better next year
