A minor setback has delayed Xtravagant's return to racing in Melbourne.
The Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards-trained colt left some feed on Sunday morning and had a slight temperature prompting connections to bypass Saturday's Listed Chandler McLeod Stakes at Moonee Valley in favour of the Gr.3 Bobbie Lewis Quality at Flemington a week later.
"Be assured that this is a disappointment, not a serious problem, just a frustration and an untimely one," Te Akau Racing said.
"He will remain on target. Instead of having three weeks until his next race after his fresh-up run, he will have a fortnight which should not have any significant impact at all."
