Rosa Carolina as a Yearling
Group One contender Rosa Carolina has made an immediate impact from her new Australian quarters.
Placed in one of her two starts for Cambridge trainer Stephen Marsh last season, the daughter of Savabeel was a first-up winner at Gosford on Tuesday from Kris Lees' Newcastle stable.
Rosa Carolina is being aimed toward the Gr.1 1000 Guineas at Caulfield on October 8.
She is raced by Lib Petagna, who also has high spring hopes with Sofia Rosa, Lucia Valentina and Saracino chasing Group One prizes during the Melbourne carnival.
