Selfie is ready to step up a gear as a return to racing looms for the black type performer.
"He's due to trial at Avondale next Tuesday and then likely to run at Ruakaka on September 10," trainer Richard Collett said.
Stakes placed three times, Selfie hasn't raced since he was out of the money at Ellerslie in January.
"He had a little chip removed off his knee, we picked it up after he ran on Karaka Million night," Collett said. "The time has been very good to him though and he looks really well."
