Xtravagant has been announced as New Zealand's highest rated three-year-old of the 2015/16 season in the Free Handicaps.
The dual Group One winner was rated 61.5 kilograms in the 1200 metre to 1600 metre category with only Dundeel, Jimmy Choux and Alamosa achieving a higher rating over the past decade.
The highest rated two-year-old was Sacred Elixir on 58.5 kilograms, half a kilogram ahead of Heroic Valour, while Rangipo was rated the best three-year-old in the above 1600 metres category on 60.5 kilograms.
