Second Innings added another string to his bow when he made a winning hurdle debut at Riccarton on Wednesday.
"He did a lot of his early work with Ben Foote," trainer and part-owner Paul Nelson said. "We knew he was pretty useful, but it's his first start so we won't get too carried away."
Second Innings has three flat victories to his credit and this preparation he also placed in the Listed Taumarunui Gold Cup at Rotorua and the Parliamentary Handicap at Trentham.
