Paul Nelson isn't short of hurdling talent in his Hastings stable.
He will be represented by San Pedro in the Racecourse Hotel & Motor Lodge Sydenham Hurdles at Riccarton on Saturday ahead of a tilt at the Hospitality NZ Canterbury Grand National Hurdles on the second day of the carnival.
Runny Honey and stablemate Second Innings will also both make their jumping debuts for Nelson on Wednesday.
The latter has been placed in the Listed Taumarunui Gold Cup and the Parliamentary Handicap in his last two starts.
