Mastercraftsman - sire of Choice
New Zealand stakes winner Choice will make her belated Australian debut at Caulfield on Saturday.
The daughter of Mastercraftsman won three races, including the Gr.3 Eulogy Stakes, for Taranaki trainer Robert Patterson before her sale and transfer to Nigel Blackiston's Flemington yard.
"She came over about six months ago and unfortunately she pulled a muscle in her hindquarter the first month I had her so I had to give her three months off," he said.
"She's come back well and she's got some nice form in New Zealand and had two nice trials leading into Saturday.
"I think the 1200m might be a bit too short for her, but I'm hoping she'll balance up with Michael (Walker) on board, find her feet and run home strong and we can push forward from there.
"I think once she gets to a mile and possibly 2000m she might be even better."
