Black type performer Quantum is making strong progress toward his first appearance as a three-year-old.
"He'll have a jump-out on Friday and he's well and truly on track to run fresh-up in the Wanganui Guineas," trainer Brendon Hawtin said. "I think he can be awfully competitive in a race like that."
Quantum won once from six starts this season and was given a break after he finished runner-up in the Listed Great Northern Foal Stakes at Ellerslie in May.
