Former New Zealand-based riders Kei Chiong and Jack Wong will begin their Australian stints this weekend.

Champion Hong King apprentice Chiong is spending a month with Adelaide trainer Phillip Stokes and she has five rides at Morphettville on Saturday.

She was the first female rider to be licensed in Hong Kong since Carol Yu retired in 2000.

Wong is spending the off-season with John Sargent and will ride Elusive Runner, who is on the comeback trail after a tendon injury, at Hawkesbury on Sunday.
