Sam Logan has high spring expectations of the lightly-raced Iwannadancelikehim.
The rising star of the trainer's fledgling stable has returned to his Cambridge quarters after making smart progress during his last campaign.
"He's been back in work for a month and he's doing really well, I couldn't be happier with him," she said.
"He's got a lot of ability and I am really looking forward to a great spring with him."
Iwannadancelikehim finished runner-up on debut in his only start for Stephen McKee and resumed after a lengthy break from Logan's yard.
He made an immediate impression with a first-up success at Rotorua and five subsequent starts were rewarded with wins at Ellerslie and Hastings and three placings.
The rising seven-year-old was then spelled after an unplaced run in his first attempt over 1600 metres in the Gr.2 Japan/New Zealand International Trophy.
"He's a big, imposing horse and he was right at the end of his campaign and a heavy track didn't help him either," Logan said.
She intends to find a suitable event in his own grade for Iwannadancelikehim to open his next campaign before raising the bar.
"As long as he races up to expectations I'll be looking at some of the bigger 1200 or 1400 metre races," Logan said.
From the family of the Listed Rotorua Plate winner and Gr.1 Livamol Classic placegetter Celebrity Miss, Iwannadancelikehim is by the Soviet Star horse Russian Hero who left five winners from only 18 runners. – NZ Racing Desk.
