Shaune Ritchie has adequate juvenile cover in the absence of his impressive Te Rapa winner Bella Gioia.

The Cambridge trainer produced the Swiss Ace filly for a dashing victory earlier this month and he returns to the Hamilton course on Saturday with confidence in the chances of She'stoohottotrot and Where Are You.

"Bella Gioia is having a short freshen up and races like the Soliloquy and Bonecrusher Stakes should sit up nicely for her a bit later on," Ritchie said.

"She's quite an exciting prospect for those better three-year-old fillies' races."

Bella Gioia was ridden by Sam Weatherley and he has been booked for She'stoohottotrot in the NZB Insurance Pearl Series Race while stable apprentice Brendan Hutton will partner debutante Where Are You.

"I quite like both of the two-year-olds, She'stoohottotrot was good last time out and will sit up on the pace while Where Are You may find the 1100 metres a little short, but she will be hitting the line," Ritchie said.

The former finished third at Avondale last time out while Where Are You impressed with a win at her only trial appearance.

Weatherley will also combine with Ritchie's Goldminer, who has placed in two of her last three starts, in the Group One Turf Bar 1200 while Hutton is on stablemate Five Off The Tee in the 2016 Lisa Chittick Foxbridge Plate 13 August 1400.

The Showcasing gelding requires a scratching to gain entry and following a narrow defeat at Avondale he should give another good account of himself. – NZ Racing Desk.
