Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Lucia Valentina (NZ) (Savabeel) is set to make her first public appearance this preparation at Wyong next Monday.
The Kris Lees-trained mare will trial over 845m alongside stablemate and fellow Group 1 winner Le Romain at the provincial track on the Central Coast in New South Wales.
Lees has earmarked an August 20 return date for both horses, with Lucia Valentina to resume in the Warwick Stakes (1400m) while Le Romain will run in the Show County Quality (1200m).
"I won't be doing too much with them, they will basically just be going around for an easy gallop," Lees said.
"It is just a good opportunity for them to get a gallop on grass."
Lucia Valentina is on a Cox Plate path, setting up an exciting clash with Winx at Moonee Valley.
The pair didn't meet in the autumn, with Chris Waller opting not to run Winx in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, a race that was dominated by Lucia Valentina. -racing.com
