Chris Waller will guide the immediate future of the talented three-year-old Thunder Down Under.
The champion Sydney horseman will take charge of the son of Street Sense next week after part-owner Stephen Ralph, who has prepared the colt to win three races including the Listed BMW Salver, decided he would be placed in Australia.
"We've reached a bit of a dead end here," he told The Informant. "We can't really achieve a lot between now and the Hawke's Bay spring carnival.
"He's in really good shape, he looks really good and so we think it's the perfect time to send him over. We've got to continue running our business here, so it makes financial sense to give him to Chris to train.
