Tony Pike can add to his already impressive Queensland winter carnival haul on Saturday with Sacred Star.
The Cambridge trainer has Group One wins there to his credit with Provocative and Sacred Elixir and he is now chasing further stakes success in the Listed Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast with his well-performed sprinter.
"I have kept him in Queensland because there is nothing in New Zealand for him at this time of year," Pike said.
"The Glasshouse looks a good race for him, it is certainly a significant drop back in grade."
To be ridden by Vinnie Colgan, Sacred Star finished fifth last time out in the Gr.1 Stradbroke Handicap.
