The future programme of the highly-regarded galloper Mr Luigi may include a trip to Christchurch.
"If Ramarro goes down there for the Winter Cup then he may go as a travelling companion," trainer Peter Lock said.
Mr Luigi has won two of his six starts with his latest success posted at Tauranga under 60kg.
"He's doing a great job of holding the fort while the others are out," Lock said.
He was referring to the promising three-year-old Hiflyer, who is still spelling, and the open class performer Moccona Mist, who has just returned to the stable.
"She's the best she's ever looked – she's twice as big and strong," Lock said.
