Promising two-year-old Cortado has one more test to pass before he makes his black type debut.
"He'll go to Te Rapa (on Saturday week) and providing he goes well he will go on to the Ryder Stakes," said Peter Williams, who trains the juvenile with his wife Dawn and Paul Richards.
Cortado ran third at Pukekohe Park in his first appearance before he was successful at Ellerslie earlier this month.
