New Zealanders' faith in New Zealand Bloodstock subsidiary gavelhouse.com has again been emphasised with 51 lots in this month's online auction catalogue.

People looking for horses to trade have options in the weanling and yearling sections with x-rays available on many of the lots in the NZB repository. Of these two yearling colts from Taranaki-based breeder Chris Thompson are interesting prospects for those looking to fill Ready to Run Sale drafts. Lot 8 is by Iffraaj and a full brother to Te Akau Racing's promising 2yo Gingernuts while Lot 11 is by Tavistock and from the winning Stravinsky mare Strabelle with his full brother selling at NZB's Ready to Run Sale last year for $150,000. He now races as Excalibur from Shaune Ritchie's barn with a placing to date already. Both colts have been broken in.

Tavistock is also represented by Lot 16, a 2yo gelding from half sister to Hong Kong Horse of the Year Armada that will appeal to Australian and Hong Kong-based buyers and Lot 20, an attractive filly called English Lady who is out of the six time winning Flying Spur mare Pow Wow Jane.

Of particular interest to breeders will be Lot 45, Sunset Stripper (Volksraad), whose pedigree has increased in value lately thanks to the deeds of dual-Group One winner Werther (Tavistock) in Hong Kong. She is in foal to Darley's Albreicht.

The Gr.1 Coronation Cup victory of Quiet Reflection at Royal Ascot last week provided Haunui Farm-based shuttle sire Showcasing with his first Group One winner to go with his already impressive list of stakes-winners and makes Lot 33, a three in one package an attractive proposition. The young Iffraaj mare Everything is a half-sister to champion filly Katana (Volksraad) and is being sold with a Showcasing filly at foot while also being in foal to the sire.

The Oaks Stud, breeders of the likes of Group One winners Seachange, Artistic, Recite and Risque to name a few have heavily supported the sale with 10 entries including racehorses and young mares in foal to their resident sire Roc de Cambes. Among the entries is Lot 21, Gone Girl (Excellent Art) who is a half-sister to Group One winner Dukedom and is being sold as a racing and breeding proposition.

Bidding on the online auction commences at 7pm (NZ time) Monday 27 June and closes from 7pm Thursday 30 June. Enquiries about the bidding process can be directed to Sales and Marketing Manager Haylie Martin on +64226378172 or haylie@gavelhouse.com
