Rory Hutchings has ridden one winner on his final day as an apprentice to maintain his 14-win lead over Koby Jennings in the race for the junior title.
Hutchings rode the Paul Perry-trained Mad About You to win at Canterbury on Wednesday after Jennings had clawed one back on Neretva for trainer Grant Allard.
Jennings has until July 31 to whittle away at the 33-19 margin after riding six winners at the past two Saturday meetings in Sydney.
